The Carter Cakery is a couture bakery boutique specializing in classic cakes with modern flavors. Never from a box, our cakes are always 100% homemade, no shortcuts. We value quality of ingredients and taste. 

Our owner and head pastry chef is Adrine Harrell-Carter. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana with Mississippi roots, Chef Carter learned to bake from her mother and grandmother. Now, she builds on their traditional family recipes with her own fresh take on delicious flavor combinations inspired by her international travels.

Having spent the bulk of her career in academia as a college professor, Dr. Carter has traded her mortarboard for a chef’s cap and is following her longtime passion. The Carter Cakery is the fulfillment of a dream and the beginning of a dessert legacy.
